Prayer

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone.
(1 Timothy 2:1)

Being a Light-House begins with prayer:

1	Begin by asking God “how” to pray. When Jesus’ disciples asked him to teach them how to pray, Jesus gave them a model prayer. Click here to visit our Models of Prayer webpages.
2	Develop a prayer list. Start by listing prayer topics for circumstances and those around you, perhaps the people who live next to you and across the street or hallway, your coworkers or your schoolmates. Click here to visit our Prayer Topics webpages.
3	Pray for people by name and ask God to minister to their needs – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. If you don’t know their names, pray for opportunities to learn the names and more information about them.
4	Ask God to find ways to care and to use you to demonstrate His love. Ask God to help you build relationships and show you ways to meet real needs.  Click here to visit our Care webpages.
5	Pray also for open doors to share Christ. As you build relationships, ask how you can best pray for them. Click here to visit our Share webpages.
6	Pray regularly and practice prayer walking in your neighborhood with us, lifting your neighbor’s needs to the Lord as you walk past their homes, offices, cubicles, classrooms, or lockers. Consider teaming up with one or more Christian friends. Click here to go to our Prayer Walk page.
